AFTERCARE & FAQ
Know before you book.
Everything below is published so there are no surprises on the night. Read the notes for your treatment before you come in, and again afterwards.
Brow lamination
Before your appointment
Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows. Avoid retinol/retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, chemical or enzyme exfoliants and other resurfacing products around the brow area for several days beforehand.
Avoid waxing, threading, peels or other treatments that may leave the skin irritated or sensitive immediately before your appointment. Let your therapist know about any recent skin treatments, sensitivities or prescription skincare.
After your appointment
For the first 24 hours, keep brows dry and avoid steam, saunas, swimming, excessive heat, strenuous exercise, rubbing and makeup directly over the brows.
After 24 hours, gently brush brows into your preferred shape each day and apply a nourishing brow serum or conditioning treatment to help maintain soft, healthy-looking hairs.
Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids and other potentially irritating active skincare directly over the brow area for several days following your treatment.
Lash lifts & tinting
For the best results, arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes. After your treatment, keep lashes dry and avoid steam, excessive heat and rubbing for the first 24 hours. Avoid oil-based products around the eye area for 24-48 hours, and gently brush lashes into place with a clean spoolie.
Waxing
For the most comfortable experience, arrive with clean, product-free skin and allow enough hair growth for effective removal. Before your appointment, avoid retinol/retinoids, exfoliating acids such as AHAs and BHAs, chemical or enzyme exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide and other resurfacing or sensitising skincare on the area being waxed.
After waxing, treat your skin gently for the next 24-48 hours. Avoid hot showers, saunas, swimming, strenuous exercise, sun exposure and fragranced products on freshly waxed skin. Wear loose, breathable clothing where possible to minimise heat and friction.
Once the skin has settled, introduce gentle exfoliation after 48-72 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs and keep your skin beautifully smooth between appointments.
Brow & lash tinting
Before your appointment
Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows or lashes and avoid applying oils, serums or heavy skincare directly to the treatment area. Let your therapist know about any allergies, sensitivities, eye conditions or previous reactions to tinting products.
A patch test may be required before your appointment depending on the tinting system used.
After your appointment
Keep the area dry and avoid excessive heat, steam, swimming and rubbing for the first 24 hours where possible. Avoid oil-based cleansers, exfoliating acids, retinol and harsh skincare directly over the tinted area, as these may cause the colour to fade more quickly.
Gently cleanse the area and avoid excessive exfoliation to help prolong your tint. Brow and lash tint results will gradually soften and fade.
Facials & skin treatments
Before your appointment
To help me give your skin the best possible treatment, please avoid retinol/retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliating acids and scrubs for 48 hours before your appointment. Please also avoid waxing, strong peels and excessive sun exposure close to your treatment.
When you arrive, let me know about any skin sensitivities, allergies, medications, recent cosmetic treatments or changes you've noticed in your skin. This helps me tailor your facial specifically to you.
After your treatment
Your skin may look slightly flushed or feel a little more sensitive after your facial. This can be completely normal and should settle as your skin calms.
For the next 24-48 hours, keep your skincare simple and gentle. Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids, scrubs and strong active ingredients, as well as excessive heat, saunas, strenuous exercise and direct sun exposure.
Keep your skin beautifully hydrated, avoid picking or touching it unnecessarily, and protect it every day with a broad-spectrum SPF 50+.
Every skin is different, so I'll always guide you on the best aftercare for the treatment you've received and what your skin needs next.
