PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy, treated like everything else here.
High Country Beauty ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
1. What we collect
Contact details (name, phone, email) when you book; appointment and treatment history; health information relevant to your treatments — skin conditions, allergies, sensitivities, patch-test results, medications and pregnancy status where relevant; payment confirmation via Fresha (we do not store card numbers); and photographs of treatment results, only with your separate written consent.
2. Why we collect it
To provide treatments safely and tailor them to you; to satisfy our duty of care, including contraindication screening and patch-testing; to manage bookings, reminders and cancellations; and, only if you opt in, to send occasional offers. We never sell or share your information for marketing.
3. Health information
Health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We collect it only with your consent, use it solely to deliver your treatment safely, and store it securely. You may decline to provide it, but some treatments cannot be safely performed without it.
4. Storage and third parties
Bookings and payments are processed by Fresha (Fresha.com SV Ltd), whose own privacy policy applies to data held on its platform. Client records are kept in secured systems accessible only to Natalie De Los Santos. Records are retained for seven years, consistent with standard clinical practice, then securely destroyed. [CHECK]
5. Photographs
Before-and-after photographs are taken only with your written consent, which specifies exactly where they may appear. You may withdraw consent at any time and we will remove the images from our website and social channels.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
